I really loved the idea of a rhizome.
I found this image that directly linked my “image” and the rhizome.
So there are these roots underneath the tape. If the tape is the tree, this mixtape is growing from a mixture of roots weaving and becoming a web that goes without a destiny. There is a sense of coming and going, becoming and denigrating. These roots go into the mixtape. They come from albums and songs, records and lyrics, music and notes and every moment of life that you wish you had a pen and paper nearby to write down and record… every moment you wish you had a video camera and the words to describe how you felt.
The rhizome concept amazes me.
And applies to life daily. I love it.

Dig deeper — what does the mixtape spread out to? I really like the idea of the limitlessness of the rhizome, how by spreading out it makes everything into something you could record.
The idea behind Internet Invention is that, with images, we’re much better equipped to do just that because images, carefully chosen and revised, have the power to act rhizomatically.
So consider not just the rhizome as a thing, but in terms of its effects.
